Celebrating with Karate: The Jagger & Friends Gashuku

Ché has been doing karate for 86% of his life, so it made sense to celebrate his big 50 with the Goju gashuku (because goju is also the Japanese word for 50). We were honoured to have one hundred students participate, including from our umbrella dojos Randburg Goju Ryu Karate Centre and Budo Karate Centre.

Over three days, we have the luxury of time to explore concepts that we don't have time for in our limited contact time in class. Free from the pressure of syllabus, Ché was able to take tangents, and our guest instructors fleshed out new ideas for our students.
