Our dojo has a wonderful, diverse student base and an excellent body of senior students who assist in the running of the dojo. We are a multi-generational dojo, offering adults a space to belong, and a place for kids to grow. We also believe in teaching leadership as well as teamwork, and encourage our students to be independent and curious, kind and strong.

Little Ninjas
Growing kids through martial play
Little Ninjas is the brainchild of Sensei Zoë, a sensei and mom who saw a desperate need for a physical activity with the benefits of karate, but adapted to benefit smaller kids in their vital physical development. Little Ninjas is a movement education program with its roots in karate and physical education, adjusted for the very youngest students. Taking out the pressure of gradings and structured classes, pre-schoolers gain the benefits of martial arts training in an age-appropriate format.

Open to 3 - 5 year olds (ideal for those dojo siblings who can't wait to join the dojo!)

JRC: Jaguars Running Club
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. - African proverb
Being an adult, and especially a parent, means that you have about as much spare time as a F1 driver in a race. This club gives you an opportunity to walk/run twice or more a week, while also meeting new people. No need to schedule in more time: you’re already at the dojo, so take this time for yourself while we take care of the kids.

Mondays to Saturdays during class time
Grab a visi vest and enjoy a walk or run with other dojo parents while your kids are in class. 4pm - 7:30pm

Fridays. 5 - 6pm: Time Trial & Walking Club
Test yourself against the dojo’s 4 or 6km routes, or walk it with fellow dojo friends and parents. The TT is great black belt prep, and the walking groups for meeting new people

PLUS: Enjoy coaching from established runners, join our racing buses during Joburg race days, and learn about stretching and strength training!

Membership of JRC is included in karate fees, and all family and friends of the dojo are welcome to join.
